Welcome Message Greetings from the Director

On behalf of Seoul Women's University (SWU), I would like to welcome you to the homepage of the Division of International Affairs!

Seoul Women’s University, a university ordained by God, was established in 1961 by the Presbyterian Church of Korea. Since then it has continually grown, becoming an elite women’s university producing a number of female professionals and leaders who have contributed to the development of Korean society. Now, our vision is to cultivate 21st-century talent who will awaken the world and serve with commitment.

The Division of International Affairs consists of the International Affairs Team, International Student and Scholar Services, and the Korean Language Center. Its core duties and responsibilities are providing new options when studying abroad, pathway programs, and support services to ensure that domestic and international students have access to a greater range of quality undergraduate and graduate opportunities. Dedicated to enhancing the robust international community and to fostering cross-cultural experience, the Division of International Affairs reaches beyond Korean borders to promote global diversity in our programs and on campus by nurturing global female leaders with knowledge, virtue, and expertise.

I believe that even a short time studying overseas will have a great impact on your life, possibly changing your dreams and aspirations. And what better place to do it than here at Seoul Women’s University. We were the first university to receive the prestigious Character Education Award from the Korean Ministry of Education for our Bahrom Character Education Program. We also provide a wealth of opportunities through our excellent education programs and the chance to experience the beauty of Korean life and culture first-hand.

I look forward to welcoming you to Seoul Women's University.

Warm regards,

Myoung Suk Kim, Ph.D.

Director, Office of International Affairs
