Overview

Division of International Affairs has developed a Dual Degree Program(2+2) in cooperation with Mejiro University and Showa Women's University of Japan. Upon meeting both institutions' academic requirements, students will receive two bachelor's degrees: one from Seoul Women's University and one from the partner institution.

Eligibility

Showa Women's University

- Must have completed 3 semesters at Showa Women's University

- Must have earned at least TOPIK Level 4

- Must be eligible to apply for visa

Mejiro University

- Must have completed 2 semesters at Mejiro University

- Students with TOPIK lower than Level 4 can apply, but must take the Korean Language Courses during breaks

- Must be eligible to apply for visa

Program Overview and Graduation Requirements

Showa Women's University

- The Dual Degree Program for Showa Women's University students is a 5-year program. The students will spend the first three semesters at Showa, fourth to seventh semesters at Seoul, and eighth to tenth semesters at Showa.

- The students must earn at least TOPIK Level 5 and take a minimum of 65 credits including Korean Language&Literature major courses during the two years at Seoul Women's University. Below is the sample list of courses that students must take at Seoul Women's University.

※ Introduction to Korean Language and Literature, History of Classical Korean Literature I, II, History of Korean Language, Bahrom Character Education II, III, Inroduction to Christianity, and College English

- Students can take up to 18 credits per semester.

Mejiro University

The Dual Degree Program for Mejiro University students is a 4-year program. The students will spend the first two semesters at Mejiro, third to sixth semester at Seoul, and seventh to eighth semesters at Mejiro.
