Short-term Cooperative Programs
A program for academic and cultural exchange through language courses, comparative culture lectures, student discussions, homestays, and cultural tours.
A short-term cooperation program where professors and students from the same major field hold exhibitions and/or seminars, aiming to enhance competitiveness by understanding recent research trends and acquiring academic information.
Exchange and Internship Programs
An exchange program that allows students to study at partner universities abroad for one year, with credits earned recognized by Seoul Women's University. Currently, exchange students are dispatched to seven universities in three countries, including The University of Iowa in the USA, Malaspina University College in Canada, and Showa Women's University in Japan. Students who complete the program are given opportunities for internships at international organizations recommended by partner universities for six months to one year.
Foreign students who have completed the exchange agreement and earned credits at Seoul Women's University are also given internship opportunities. Internships can be credited, and foreign exchange students are supported to develop youth programs or conduct research projects in conjunction with Seoul Women's University students.
A one-month short-term program that brings foreign people to our campus to lecture on Korean studies, with credits recognized by participating universities. Seoul Women's University students also participate in the course "Understanding Korea," which is conducted through multimedia lectures and discussions. Lectures are in English and include comparative studies of Korea, China, and Japan.
Development Programs
In collaboration with United Broad, a volunteer learning program with internship characteristics was established and connected to eight East Asian countries (Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam). Through the successful completion of this program, Seoul Women's University students are able to become leaders of the Asian Peace Volunteer Corps, serving for the educational, social, and cultural development of the dispatched countries.
This program promotes the completion of Master's degrees for professors with only Bachelor's degrees from eight developing countries in Asia. Participating professors can undertake joint research projects with Seoul Women's University professors and organize various cultural events and seminars reflect their local culture and fields of study.
