Seoul Women's University is dedicated to nurturing global citizens. For this reason, it has exchange agreements with prestigious universities around the world and promotes active international exchange to strengthen academic and cultural ties. We believe that in an ever-globalizing world, the opportunity to interact with people from other cultures and countries is an invaluable experience and we are happy to help provide that to not only our students, but also to those in other countries.

Currently, exchange students are dispatched to seven universities in three countries, including The University of Iowa in the USA, Malaspina University College in Canada, and Showa Women's University in Japan. Students who complete the program are given opportunities for internships at international organizations recommended by partner universities for six months to one year.

Internship at SWU

Foreign students who have completed the exchange agreement and earned credits at Seoul Women's University are also given internship opportunities. Internships can be credited, and foreign exchange students are supported to develop youth programs or conduct research projects in conjunction with Seoul Women's University students.

Barom Internship Program (BIP)

A one-month short-term program that brings foreign people to our campus to lecture on Korean studies, with credits recognized by participating universities. Seoul Women's University students also participate in the course "Understanding Korea," which is conducted through multimedia lectures and discussions. Lectures are in English and include comparative studies of Korea, China, and Japan.
