About the Major

The Department of Sports Science aims to nurture excellent female sports leaders and exercise experts by providing academic areas of sports science (exercise physiology, biomechanics, sports medicine, sports psychology, sports philosophy, sports measurement and evaluation) and practical exercise science programs (exercise learning control, sports nutrition, exercise testing and prescription, aging-related diseases and health exercise) and sports skills programs (gymnastics, yoga, Pilates). Students learn the scientific principles and techniques underlying sports and exercise through theoretical courses composed of basic, applied, and practical areas of the major field. Additionally, practical courses help students improve practical skills and learn specialized exercise science content as sports leaders.
