About the Major

The major in Contemporary Art aims to foster character formation through systematic education in both the theoretical and practical aspects of contemporary art, and to cultivate creative individuals who can contribute to society through their art. Students gain the ability to independently realize a unique world of expression through various methods and media. Each year, students participate in internal exhibitions, and in their fourth year, they prepare for a graduation exhibition, equipping them with the experience needed to become practicing artists. Students are encouraged to recognize that individual artistic activities can serve as a career. They can work in supportive roles such as in museums, art publishers, private art academies, as gallery planners, or as designers in various companies. The curriculum includes lectures by renowned experts from related fields, special lecture programs for post-graduation career paths, and exchange programs with overseas universities.
