About the Major

The major in Journalism within the School of Media and Communication aims to nurture experts in the rapidly evolving field of journalism. This change reflects both challenges to traditional journalism and expectations for new forms of journalism. The education provided includes the theories and practical skills needed for traditional journalism fields such as newspapers, broadcasting, and magazines, as well as the expertise required for journalism in the digital media environment. The curriculum developed through various government and private projects, including the CK-II project, aims to nurture journalism experts with humanistic literacy and creative planning abilities. Career paths for journalism majors include newspaper, broadcasting, and magazine reporters, announcers, news/current affairs producers, broadcast writers, online journalists, and media critics.
