About the Major

The Department of Christian Studies aims to teach students about Christianity, nurturing talents who will serve with a Christian spirit in an increasingly diverse world. The department provides thorough academic training to help students become professional leaders in churches and related fields. To achieve this, students undertake courses in essential areas such as biblical theology, systematic theology, historical theology, and practical theology, as well as a wide range of courses in the humanities and social sciences. This broad curriculum helps students develop the character needed to understand humans and society correctly from a theological standpoint.

Building on this foundation, students not only develop an appropriate Christian worldview but also acquire the ability to innovate and actively serve as professionals. After receiving this specialized training and graduating, they can pursue various career paths. Those aspiring to become church leaders can advance to theological seminaries to become pastors, missionaries, counseling specialists, or educators. Those interested in related fields can enter an increasingly diversified number of Christian organizations, media, or publishing sectors.
