About the Major

Bioenvironmental Engineering focuses on cutting-edge sciences that benefit human life across medicine, pharmacy, environmental science, agriculture, and fisheries. The department emphasizes understanding life at the molecular level and its relationship with the environment, applying this knowledge practically. Courses include molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, biochemistry, molecular genetics, embryology, ecology, immunology, advanced microbiology, developmental engineering, systems biology, climate change, ecological environmental education, and animal ecology. The department engages in projects with the Korea Science Foundation, Academic Promotion Foundation, Small and Medium Business Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, and Ministry of Environment, incorporating cutting-edge research techniques and results into teaching.
