Shalom House

SWU’s student accommodation provides students from remote regions with residential space and amenities so that they can focus on learning. The Shalom House was newly built in 2008 with 7 stories above ground and 2 underground levels. There is a total of 219 rooms, accommodating 615 students, 39 studios, 72 double rooms, and 108 quads.

Amenities for students include a dining room, a convenience store, a computer room, a reading room, a seminar room, a prayer room, a gym, a shower room, a launderette, an AV room, a lounge and a main hall.

The Shalom House is surrounded by nature and has a wonderful location on campus, providing a fine view of the front lawn plaza. Students living in the Shalom House develop a sense of identity and form rich interpersonal relationships with one students.

International House

The International House provides residential space and amenities for foreign students, helping them focus on learning. It offers great opportunities for students from different countries to experience difference cultures, lead a self-directed campus life, and learn to live with and care for others.

Guidelines

- All students moving into the dormitory must submit chest X-ray results taken within the last 3 months.

- Use of electrical appliances (rice cookers, electric blankets, etc.) and open flames is strictly prohibited (violation will result in expulsion).

- Outsiders who do not reside in the dormitory are strictly prohibited from entering (violation will result in expulsion).

- Alcohol consumption and smoking are prohibited (violation will result in expulsion).

Off-Campus Housing Information

- Gosiwon

Small, single-room accommodations rented on a monthly basis. Monthly rent ranges from 300,000 KRW to 500,000 KRW, with a deposit of 50,000 KRW to 500,000 KRW.

- One-room (Studio)

Equipped with basic furniture, refrigerator, washing machine, and kitchen. Minimum contracts are for 6 months, with monthly rent ranging from 450,000 KRW to 600,000 KRW, and a deposit of 650,000 KRW to 5,000,000 KRW.
