Program outline

Bachelor's degree course which students register in undergraduate course for 4 years and acquire a degree.

Eligibility

  • New Admission

(1) Both applicants and parents are all non-Koreans [including the case the applicant and either one of parents are Taiwanese]

(2) The applicant who completed (or expected to complete) high school education inside or outside of Korea or those who possess equivalent level of education.
※ The person with multiple nationalities including the Korean nationality or the stateless person is not considered as a foreigner.

(3) Eligible applicants who meet following language requirements

A) TOPIK Level 3 or above

B) Completion of regular course at the SWU Korean Language Center

C) Person who has other qualified records that can prove one’s Korean skills

※ One must achieve TOPIK Level 4 or above before graduation

※ Successful applicants must complete Korean courses which will be assigned by the school according to their Korean language skills

  • Transfer Admission

(1) The applicants and parents are all non-Koreans [including the case the applicant and either one of parents are Taiwanese]

※ The person with multiple nationalities including the Korean nationality or the stateless person is not considered as a foreigner.

(2) TOPIK Level 3 or above

※ One must achieve TOPIK Level 4 or above before graduation

※ Successful applicants must complete Korean courses which will be assigned by the school according to their Korean language skills

(3) The applicant who satisfy the following academic requirements

Previous University Eligibilty
Regular 4-year University inside or outside of Korea Students who were enrolled for at least 2 years or 4 semesters or completed the same period (up to the second semester of the second year)at a regular 4-year university inside and outside of Korea (summer and winter sessions are not acknowledged as a regular semester, and this refers to the school system holding 2 semesters in 1 year)
※For a foreign university operating on a school system different from that of Seoul Women’s University[eg. 3 semesters a year system, etc.], and the applicant must have completed at least 1/2 of the minimum credits that are required for a degree in the previous university and shall provide documentary evidence for the credits.
Junior colleges inside or outside Korea Students who graduated (or is expected to graduate) from a junior college (2-year or 3-year) inside or outside Korea

Selection Period

- Spring semester (March~June) Admission: May~June

- Autumn semester (September~December) Admission: October~November

Required documents (summary)

- Admission Application

- Statement of Understanding

- Copy of Applicant’s Passport and Alien Registration

- Copy of the Certificate of Family Relations and Parents’ Identification

- Documents authenticating academic achievements

- Original Certificate of (expected) high school graduation

- Original Grade Transcript from high school

- TOPIK Report or,

- The Certificate of Completion (or enrollment) and academic transcript issued by a Korean Language Institute

- Certificate of Bank Deposit under applicant's name (Money Trust Balance)
(Deposit must be $20,000 USD or higher)
(Document issued within 3 consecutive months prior to its submission)

- Record of winning prizes in domestic and overseas competitions and the certificate of participation in the competition (only those relevant)

- Portfolio (only those relevant)

- 1 copy of baptismal certificate (only those relevant)

Additional Application Materials for Transfer Admission Applicants

- Certificate of (Expected) Completion of 2nd Year or (Expected) Graduation or Enrollment (3rd Year or Higher)

- Grade Transcript

- Credits required for graduation, semesters completed, documentary evidence for the basis of grading calculation
